An-Naml: 33

"They said: We are possessors of strength..."

By "strength," they meant physical power, weaponry, and numbers. By "might" (ba's), they meant bravery and prowess in war.

"...and the command is yours"

Meaning: The matter is entrusted to you. We are obedient to you; command us as you wish, and we will obey without dissent. It is as if they were advising her to fight.

Alternatively, they meant: We are people of war, not people of counsel and deliberation. You are the one with judgment and strategy, so consider what you see fit, and we will follow your command.

An-Naml: 34–36

"She said: Indeed, kings, when they enter a city, ruin it and make the honored among its people abased. And thus do they do. But indeed, I will send to them a gift and see with what [reply] the messengers will return. So when he came to Solomon, he said: Do you provide me with wealth? But what Allah has given me is better than what He has given you. Rather, it is you who rejoice in your gift."
