Tafsir of An-Naml 27:75

"And there is no hidden thing..."

Anything that is absent or concealed is called ghā’ibah (hidden thing) and khāfiyah (concealed thing). The tā’ (feminine marker) in these two words functions as it does in al-ʿāfiyah (well-being) and al-ʿāqibah (the end/consequence). Similar examples are an-naṭīḥah (the gored animal), ar-ramiyyah (the hunted prey), and adh-dhabīḥah (the slaughtered animal), in that they are nouns rather than adjectives.

It is also permissible for them to be adjectives, with the tā’ serving as an intensifier, like ar-rāwiyah (the great narrator) in the saying: "Woe to the poet from the narrator of evil." It is as if He said: "There is nothing that is intensely hidden or concealed except that Allah knows it, encompasses it, and has recorded it in the Preserved Tablet."

"The Clear [Book]" (al-mubīn): That which is manifest and clear to those among the angels who look into it.

"Indeed, this Qur’an narrates to the Children of Israel most of that over which they differ. And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers."
