Do they not see that We made the night that they may rest therein and the day giving sight? Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.

An-Naml: 86

"Have they not seen that We..."

He made the act of seeing for the day, and it is for its people.

If you ask: Why was the parallelism not observed in His saying: {that you may rest therein} and {giving sight}, given that one is a cause (reason) and the other is a state (adverbial)?

I say: It is observed in terms of meaning, and this is how natural, unforced composition is; for the meaning of {giving sight} is: "so that they may see within it the paths of movement for their livelihoods."

"And the Day the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will be terrified except whom Allah wills. And all will come to Him humbled."
