Al-Qaṣaṣ: (1) Ṭā-Sīn-Mīm

{Of the news of Moses and Pharaoh} This is the object of the verb natlū (We recite), meaning: We recite to you a portion of their news.

{In truth} Meaning: We are truthful in this recitation, similar to His saying: "growing with oil."

{For a people who believe} Meaning: For those whom We have already known in Our knowledge that they will believe, because the recitation only benefits these people, not others.

{Indeed, Pharaoh exalted himself in the land and divided its people into factions, oppressing a group among them, slaughtering their sons and keeping their women alive. Indeed, he was of the corrupters.}
