Tafsir of Al-Qasas 28:21

Surah Al-Qasas 28:21

ﳗ ﳘ ﳙ ﳚ ﳛ ﳜ ﳝ ﳞ ﳟ ﳠ ﳡ

So he left it, fearful and anticipating [apprehension]. He said, "My Lord, save me from the wrongdoing people."

Al-Qasas: 21

{فَخَرَجَ مِنْهَا خَائِفًا يَتَرَقَّبُ} "So he departed from it, fearful, anticipating."

  • {يَتَرَقَّبُ}: He is anticipating that he might be intercepted on the road, or that he might be pursued.

{وَلَمَّا تَوَجَّهَ تِلْقَاءَ مَدْيَنَ قَالَ عَسَىٰ رَبِّي أَن يَهْدِيَنِي سَوَاءَ السَّبِيلِ} "And when he directed himself toward Madyan, he said, 'Perhaps my Lord will guide me to the sound path.'"
