Surah Al-Qasas 28:67

ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ

But as for one who had repented, believed, and done righteousness, it is promised by Allah that he will be among the successful.

Al-Qasas: 67

{As for him who repented} from the polytheists, [repenting] from polytheism, and combined faith with righteous deeds,

{then it may be that he will be} successful in the sight of Allah. And "may be" (‘asā), when used by the Generous [Allah], denotes certainty.

It is also permissible that it is intended to denote the hope and expectation of the repentant person, as if He said: "Let him hope to be successful."


{And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; not for them was the choice. Exalted is Allah and high above what they associate with Him.}
