Tafsir of Al-Qasas 28:74

"And the Day He will call to them and say..."

In this verse, I have followed the method of al-laff (folding/enveloping) by repeating the rebuke regarding the taking of partners [alongside God].

This serves as an announcement that nothing draws the wrath of God more than associating partners with Him, just as nothing brings one closer to His pleasure than affirming His Oneness (tawhid). O God, just as You have included us among the people of Your Oneness, include us among those saved from Your threat.

"And We will extract from every nation a witness, and We will say, 'Produce your proof.' Then they will know that the Truth belongs to God, and what they used to fabricate will vanish from them."
