{تِلْكَ آيَاتُ اللَّهِ} These are the verses of Allah, regarding the promise and the threat.

{نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِالْحَقِّ} We recite them to you, accompanied by truth and justice in the recompense of the doer of good and the doer of evil, according to what they deserve.

{وَمَا اللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْمًا لِّلْعَالَمِينَ} He does not seize anyone without a crime, nor does He increase the punishment of a criminal or the reward of a doer of good. He used the indefinite "injustice" (ẓulman) to signify that He does not desire any form of injustice for any of His creation.

Exalted is He who is forbearing toward those who describe Him as willing or consenting to vile deeds.
