But those who wrong follow their [own] desires without knowledge. Then who can guide one whom Allah has sent astray? And for them there are no helpers.

Tafsir
Verse range: 30:29
{Those who did wrong} Meaning: those who committed shirk (polytheism), as in His saying, the Exalted: "Indeed, shirk is a great injustice."
{Without knowledge} Meaning: they followed their desires in ignorance. For if a knowledgeable person follows his desire, his knowledge might restrain and hold him back. As for the ignorant person, he wanders aimlessly like a beast, with nothing to restrain him.
{Who can guide whom Allah has led astray?} Meaning: whom He has abandoned and not granted His grace (lutf), because He knows that such a person is not receptive to grace. So, who is capable of guiding the likes of him?
{And they will have no helpers} This is evidence that the intended meaning of "leading astray" here is abandonment (khidhlan).
{So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the nature of Allah upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know. [Adhere to it], turning in repentance to Him, and fear Him and establish prayer and do not be among those who associate others with Allah [or] among those who divided their religion and became sects, every faction rejoicing in what it has.}
