Fāṭir: 13
{ذالكم} (That is): A subject (mubtadaʾ).
{الله ربكم له الملك} (Allah your Lord, to Him belongs the dominion): These are synonymous predicates (akhbār mutarādifa). Alternatively, {الله} is the subject and {ربكم} is the predicate; {له الملك} is a new sentence (jumla mubtadaʾa) occurring in the context of His saying: {والذين تدعون من دونه ما يملكون من قطمير} (And those whom you call upon besides Him do not possess a qiṭmīr).
It is also grammatically permissible for the name "Allah" to be an adjective (ṣifa) for the demonstrative pronoun (ism al-ishāra), or an explanatory appositive (ʿaṭf bayān), with {ربكم} serving as the predicate—were it not for the fact that the meaning rejects this.
{القطمير} (The qiṭmīr): The wrapping of the date pit; it is the thin skin wrapped around it.
{إن تدعوهم لا يسمعوا دعآءكم ولو سمعوا ما استجابوا لكم ويوم القيامة يكفرون بشرككم ولا ينبئك مثل خبير}
(If you call upon them, they do not hear your supplication; and if they were to hear, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will deny your association [of them with Allah]. And none can inform you like one who is All-Aware.)
