Tafsir
Verse range: 36:62
"And he has already led astray from among you..."
It has been recited as jubulan (with two dammahs), jublan (a dammah and a sukun), jubullan (two dammahs and a shaddah), jibilan (two kasrahs), jiblan (a kasrah and a sukun), and jibillan (two kasrahs and a shaddah). These are all linguistic variations for the meaning of "creation" (al-khalq). It has also been recited as jabalan, the plural of jablah, similar to futur and khalq. In the recitation of Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), it is jīlan wāḥidan (a single generation), not ajyāl (generations).
"This Day, We shall seal up their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will bear witness to what they used to earn."
