Tafsir of As-Saffat 37:97

{The Jahim (Hellfire)}: The fire with intense fuel. It is also said: Every fire that is upon another fire, and embers upon embers, is a Jahim.

The meaning: Allah Almighty caused him to prevail over them in both situations, and He humiliated them before him. They intended to overcome him with argument, so Allah taught him and inspired him with that which silenced them completely. He subdued them, so they resorted to deception, but Allah nullified their deception and made them the humiliated, the lowest, for they could not prevail over him.

{And he said, "Indeed, I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy.}
