Verse range: 38:48
{And Elisha (al-Yasa‘)} It is as if the definite article (al-) has been prefixed to "Yasa‘." It has also been recited as "wa-lil-Yasa‘," as if the definite article were prefixed to "Laysa‘," making it a fay‘al form derived from al-las‘ (stinging).
{And all} The tanwin (nunation) in "kull" is a substitute for the genitive construction (idafa). Its meaning is: "And all of them were among the righteous."
{This is a reminder. And indeed, for the righteous is a beautiful place of return: Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened for them. Reclining therein, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink. And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, of equal age.}
