Surah Ghafir 40:47

ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ ﲬ ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ

And [mention] when they will argue within the Fire, and the weak will say to those who had been arrogant, "Indeed, we were [only] your followers, so will you relieve us of a share of the Fire?"

"And when they argue with one another..."

And remember the time when they argue with one another.

  • { تبعا } (Taba‘an): It is the plural of tabi‘ (follower), like khadam (servants) is the plural of khadim (servant).
  • Alternatively, it means "possessors of tab‘" (followers), or it is used as a verbal noun (masdar) to describe them.

{ The arrogant ones will say, "Indeed, we are all in it. Indeed, Allah has judged between the servants." }
