Ghafir: 64
This is another indication of His distinction through specific actions, which is that He made the earth a place of settlement.
"And the heaven a structure"
Meaning: a dome. From this comes the term abniyat al-‘arab (the structures of the Arabs) for their tents, because the sky, to the eye’s view, is like a dome pitched over the face of the earth.
"And perfected your forms"
It is also recited with a kasra under the ṣād (ṣiwarakum), and the meaning is the same. It is said: He did not create any animal with a better form than the human. It is also said: He did not create them inverted like beasts, as in His saying: "In the best of stature" (At-Tin: 4).
"So call upon Him"
Meaning: worship Him.
"Being sincere to Him in religion"
Meaning: obedience, free from polytheism and hypocrisy, saying: "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds."
It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): Whoever says "There is no god but Allah," let him say immediately after it: "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds."
"Say: 'Indeed, I have been forbidden to worship those you call upon besides Allah once the clear proofs have come to me from my Lord, and I have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds.'"
