Tafsir of Fussilat 41:45

Surah Fussilat 41:45

ﳇ ﳈ ﳉ ﳊ ﳋ ﳌ ﳍ ﳎ ﳏ ﳐ ﳑ ﳒ ﳓ ﳔ ﳕ ﳖ ﳗ ﳘ ﳙ ﳚ

And We had already given Moses the Scripture, but it came under disagreement. And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed they are, concerning the Qur'an, in disquieting doubt.

Fussilat: 45

{Then it was differed upon} Some said: "It is the truth," and others said: "It is falsehood."

The preceding word: It refers to the promise of the Resurrection, and that disputes will be settled on that Day. Were it not for that, He would have judged between them in this world. Allah the Exalted said: {Nay, the Hour is their appointed time} (Al-Qamar: 46), but He delays them until an appointed term.

{Whoever does righteousness, it is for his own soul; and whoever does evil, it is against it. And your Lord is not ever unjust to [His] servants.}
