Tafsir
Verse range: 41:52
{Have you considered}: Inform me, {if it}—the Qur’an—{is from Allah}.
This means: What you are upon—of denying the Qur’an and calling it a lie—is not a matter proceeding from a decisive proof through which you have attained certainty and peace of heart. Rather, it is a matter assumed before investigation and the following of evidence. It is possible that it is from Allah, and it is possible that it is not from Him; yet you have neither investigated nor examined it. Thus, you have denied what might be the truth, and you have disbelieved in it.
So, inform me: Who is more astray than you, while you have gone to the furthest extent in opposing and antagonizing it, when it might be the truth, and thus you have destroyed yourselves?
His saying, Exalted is He: {than one who is in deep opposition} is placed to describe their state and their attribute.
