Az-Zukhruf: 63–65

{With the clear proofs} The miracles, or the verses of the Gospel and the clear, manifest laws.

{With wisdom} Meaning the Gospel and the laws.

If you ask: Why did he not clarify for them everything they differ about, but only some of it? I say: They used to differ regarding religions and matters related to religious obligation, as well as other things they were not commanded to know or inquire about. He was only sent to clarify for them what they differed about regarding the matters of their religion that concerned them.

{The factions} The groups that formed factions after Jesus. It is also said: The Jews and the Christians.

{So woe to those who did wrong} A threat to the factions.

If you ask: To whom does the pronoun in {among them} refer? I say: To those whom Jesus addressed in his saying: {I have come to you with wisdom}, who are his people to whom he was sent.

{Do they await anything except the Hour, that it should come upon them suddenly while they are unaware? * The close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous. * O My servants, no fear will there be concerning you this Day, nor will you grieve. * Those who believed in Our verses and were Muslims. * Enter Paradise, you and your spouses, delighted. * Circulated among them will be plates of gold and vessels, and therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally. * And that is Paradise which you are made to inherit for what you used to do. * For you therein is much fruit from which you will eat.}
