Tafsir of Al-Jathiyah 45:36-37

{So praise belongs to Allah, Lord...}

Praise Allah, for He is your Lord and the Lord of everything in the heavens, the earth, and the worlds. Such universal Lordship necessitates praise and commendation from every created being.

{And [to Him belongs] the Greatness}

Proclaim His greatness, for the signs of His majesty and grandeur have become manifest in the heavens and the earth. It is fitting that One such as He be proclaimed great and glorified.

From the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ):

"Whoever recites Ha-Mim Al-Jathiyah, Allah will conceal his faults and calm his fear on the Day of Reckoning."
