Tafsir of Al-Ahqaf 46:22

Surah Al-Ahqaf 46:22

ﱜ ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ

They said, "Have you come to delude us away from our gods? Then bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the truthful."

Al-Ahqaf: 22

"They said, 'Have you come to us to delude us...'"

  • Al-Ifk (delusion/turning away): It means to divert. It is said: "He diverted him (afakahu) from his opinion."
  • "From our gods": From worshipping them.
  • "With what you promise us": Regarding the hastening of punishment for our polytheism.
  • "If you are": Truthful in your promise.

Al-Ahqaf: 23

"He said, 'The knowledge is only with Allah, and I convey to you that with which I was sent, but I see you are a people who are ignorant.'"
