Surah Al-Fath 48:17

ﱠ ﱡ ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ

There is not upon the blind any guilt or upon the lame any guilt or upon the ill any guilt [for remaining behind]. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger - He will admit him to gardens beneath which rivers flow; but whoever turns away - He will punish him with a painful punishment.

Al-Fatḥ: 17

"There is no blame on the blind..."

He negates any hardship upon these people with disabilities for staying behind from the military expedition. It is also recited as nudkhilhu (We shall admit him) and nuʿadhdhibuhu (We shall punish him) using the nūn (first-person plural).


Al-Fatḥ: 18

"Allah was certainly pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you under the tree. He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down tranquility upon them and rewarded them with a near victory."

"And many spoils which they will take. And Allah is Exalted in Might, All-Wise."
