Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:35
ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ
O you who have believed, fear Allah and seek the means [of nearness] to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed.

Al-Ma'idah: 35
"O you who have believed..."
"The Means" (al-wasilah): Everything through which one seeks to reach [a goal], meaning that by which one draws near, whether through kinship, a good deed, or otherwise.
It is metaphorically applied to that which is used to draw near to Allah Almighty: the performance of acts of obedience and the abandonment of acts of disobedience.
Labid recited: I see that people do not know what is destined for them, Except that every person of intellect is one who seeks a means to Allah.
