ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ ﲐ ﲑ ﲒ ﲓ ﲔ ﲕ ﲖ
And remember the favor of Allah upon you and His covenant with which He bound you when you said, "We hear and we obey"; and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts.
Tafsir
Verse range: 5:7
"And remember the favor of Allah upon you" It is the favor of Islam.
"And His covenant with which He bound you" Meaning: He bound you with a firm contract. It is the covenant He took from the Muslims when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) took their pledge of allegiance to listen and obey, in times of ease and hardship, and in times of willingness and aversion. They accepted and said, "We hear and we obey." It is also said that this refers to the covenant on the night of Al-Aqabah or the Pledge of Ridwan.
