And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind,

Tafsir
Verse range: 50:7-8
{And the earth, We spread it out} We expanded it.
{And cast therein firm mountains} Mountains that are fixed; were it not for them, the earth would tilt.
{Of every beautiful kind} Of every species that brings joy due to its beauty.
{A clear evidence and a reminder} So that one may gain insight through it and remember.
{For every servant who turns [to Allah]} One who returns to his Lord, contemplating the wonders of His creation. It is also recited in the nominative case (tabṣiratun wa-dhikrā), meaning: "Its creation is a clear evidence and a reminder."
{And We have sent down from the sky rain, blessed, and We have caused to grow thereby gardens and grain [for] the harvest. And the palm trees, tall, having fruit-stalks layered. As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the emergence.}
