Adh-Dhariyat: 50–51

{So flee to Allah} Meaning: Flee to His obedience and His reward, away from His disobedience and His punishment.

{And do not associate anything with Him} Meaning: Declare His oneness.

He repeated His saying: {Indeed, I am to you a clear warner from Him} alongside the command to obey and the prohibition of associating partners with Him, so that it may be known that faith is of no benefit without deeds, just as deeds are of no benefit without faith. It is known that no one succeeds before Allah except the one who combines both.

Do you not see the saying of the Exalted: {No soul will benefit from its faith if it had not believed before or earned some good through its faith} (Al-An'am: 158)?

The meaning is: Say, O Muhammad: "So flee to Allah."

{Likewise, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman." Did they suggest it to one another? Rather, they are a transgressing people.}
