Indeed, those who oppose Allah and His Messenger are abased as those before them were abased. And We have certainly sent down verses of clear evidence. And for the disbelievers is a humiliating punishment.

Tafsir
Verse range: 58:5
{يُحَادُّونَ} (They oppose): They show enmity and act in defiance.
{كُبِتُوا} (They are disgraced): They are humiliated and destroyed, {كَمَا كُبِتَ} (just as were disgraced) those before them from among the enemies of the messengers. It is said: It refers to their humiliation on the Day of the Trench.
{وَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَا آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ} (And We have sent down clear verses): Which indicate the truthfulness of the Messenger and the validity of what he brought.
{وَلِلْكَافِرِينَ} (And for the disbelievers): In these verses, {عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ} (a humiliating punishment) that strips away their pride and arrogance.
{يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُمُ} (The Day He resurrects them): The word "Day" is in the accusative case, either linked to "punishment," or to "humiliating," or by an implied verb "Remember" to emphasize the gravity of that Day.
{جَمِيعًا} (All together): All of them; not one of them is left un-resurrected. Or, they are gathered in a single state, as you would say: "The tribe is all together."
{فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا عَمِلُوا} (Then He will inform them of what they did): To shame them, rebuke them, and expose their condition. At that moment, they will wish to be rushed into the Fire because of the disgrace that befalls them before all witnesses.
{أَحْصَاهُ اللَّهُ} (Allah has enumerated it): He has encompassed it by counting; nothing of it has escaped Him.
{وَنَسُوهُ} (And they forgot it): Because they took it lightly when they committed it, not caring about it due to their addiction to sins; for one only preserves the most significant of matters.
