Tafsir of Al-An'am 6:120

Surah Al-An'am 6:120

ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ

And leave what is apparent of sin and what is concealed thereof. Indeed, those who earn [blame for] sin will be recompensed for that which they used to commit.

Al-An'am: 120

{And abandon the apparent sin and the hidden [sin]}

It means: what you declare of it and what you conceal.

It is also said: what you perform and what you intend.

It is also said: the apparent is adultery in brothels, and the hidden is having a secret mistress.


{And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is a grave disobedience. And indeed, the devils do inspire their allies to dispute with you. And if you were to obey them, indeed, you would be polytheists.}
