Say, "Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path - a correct religion - the way of Abraham, inclining toward truth. And he was not among those who associated others with Allah."

Say, "Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path - a correct religion - the way of Abraham, inclining toward truth. And he was not among those who associated others with Allah."
Tafsir
Verse range: 6:161
{دِيناً} (a religion): It is in the accusative case as a substitute (badal) for the position of {إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ} (to a path), because its meaning is: "He guided me to a path."
This is evidenced by His saying: {وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ صِرَاطًا مُّسْتَقِيمًا} (and guide you to a straight path) [Al-Baqarah: 142].
{قِيَمًا} (upright/ever-lasting): It is of the pattern fay‘al, derived from qāma (to stand), just as sayyid (master) is derived from sāda (to lead). It is more emphatic than al-qā’im (the standing/upright). It has also been recited as qiyaman. Al-qiyam is an infinitive used in the sense of al-qiyām (standing/uprightness), used here as an adjective.
{مِّلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ} (the religion of Abraham): It is an explanatory appositive (‘atf bayān).
{حَنِيفًا} (inclining to truth): It is a state (ḥāl) describing Abraham.
{قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ * لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ۖ وَبِذَٰلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ}
"Say, 'Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. No partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims.'"
