Surah Al-An'am 6:49

ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ

But those who deny Our verses - the punishment will touch them for their defiant disobedience.

Al-An'am: 49

"But the ones who denied Our verses..."

He made the punishment [something that] touches [them], as if it were a living being that does to them whatever it wills of pain. From this is their saying: "I encountered from him the two bitter things and the two dire things," where they used the plural form reserved for rational beings. And [similar to] His saying: "When it sees them from a distant place, they will hear its fury and roaring" (Al-Furqan: 12).


"Say, 'I do not tell you that I have the depositories of Allah, nor do I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me.' Say, 'Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Then will you not give thought?'"
