Tafsir
Verse range: 64:17
"And He mentioned the loan": This is a gentle way of requesting [charity].
"He will multiply it for you": He will record for you, for every single one, ten, or seven hundred, up to whatever increase He wills. It is also recited as yuḍaʿifhu (He will double it).
"Appreciative (Shakūr)": This is a metaphor. It means He treats you as one who is excessive in gratitude would treat someone, by granting a great reward.
"Forbearing (Ḥalīm)": He treats you as one who is forbearing toward an offender would treat them; He does not hasten your punishment despite the abundance of your sins.
From the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ):
"Whoever recites Surah at-Taghābun, sudden death will be averted from him."
