Al-Mulk: (30) Say, "Have you considered if..."

{Ghawran}: Sinking, disappearing into the earth.

Al-Kalbi said: "It is beyond the reach of buckets." It is described using the verbal noun (masdar), similar to ‘adl (justice) and rida (contentment).

It is narrated that some insolent person heard this verse recited in his presence and remarked: "Pickaxes and shovels will bring it forth." Consequently, he lost his eyesight. We seek refuge in God from audacity against God and His signs.

From the Messenger of God (peace be upon him):

"Whoever recites Surat al-Mulk, it is as if he has spent the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr) in worship."
