Al-Aʿrāf: 33

{The immoralities (al-fawāḥish)}: That whose ugliness has become excessive, meaning it has increased. It is also said: It refers to matters related to the private parts.

{And sin (al-ithm)}: A general term for every transgression. It is also said: It refers to drinking wine.

{And injustice (al-baghy)}: Oppression and arrogance. It is mentioned separately, just as He said: "And He forbids immorality, evil, and injustice" (16:90).

{For which He has not sent down authority}: This contains mockery, for it is impossible that He would send down proof that one should associate partners with Him.

{And that you say about Allah}: That you fabricate against Him and invent lies regarding prohibitions and other matters.

Al-Aʿrāf: 34

{And for every nation is a term; so when their term comes, they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it]}.
