Surah Al-Infitar 82:13

ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ ﱽ

Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,

Al-Infitar: (13) Indeed, the righteous are in...

{And they are not absent from it} Like His saying: {And they are not to emerge from it} (Al-Ma'idah: 37).

It is also permissible that it means: They will enter the Fire on the Day of Recompense, and they are not absent from it before that—meaning: in their graves.

It has been said: Allah has informed us in this Surah that the son of Adam has three states:

  1. The state of life, in which his deeds are preserved.
  2. The state of the Hereafter, in which he is recompensed.
  3. The state of the Barzakh (the interval), which is His saying: {And they are not absent from it}.

{And what can make you know what the Day of Recompense is? Then, what can make you know what the Day of Recompense is? [It is] the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah.}
