At-Tawbah: 52
{ Except one of the two best outcomes }
Except for one of the two consequences, each of which is the best of consequences: victory or martyrdom.
{ And we await for you }
One of the two worst outcomes: either { that Allah should afflict you with a punishment from Himself }, which is a calamity from the sky, as it descended upon ‘Ad and Thamud, { or } with a punishment { at our hands }, which is being killed for your disbelief.
{ So wait }
For us, regarding the consequences we have mentioned.
{ Indeed, we are with you, waiting }
For what your consequence will be. Thus, it is inevitable that each of us will encounter what he awaits, and it will not pass him by.
At-Tawbah: 53
{ Say, "Spend willingly or unwillingly; it will never be accepted from you. Indeed, you have been a defiantly disobedient people." }
