Hadith 5:3
Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ayyub, who said: I heard ‘Ata’ say: I heard Ibn ‘Abbas say: I bear witness regarding the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) that he prayed before the sermon, then he delivered the sermon. Then he perceived that the women had not heard, so he went to them and reminded them and exhorted them and commanded them to give charity, while Bilal was holding out his garment. He said: So the woman began casting the ring, the earring, and the thing.
حدثنا بن عيينة عن أيوب قال سمعت عطاء قال سمعت بن عباس يقول أشهد على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى قبل الخطبة ثم خطب فرأى أنه لم تسمع النساء فأتاهن فذكرهن ووعظهن وأمرهن بالصدقة وبلال قابل بثوبه قال فجعلت المرأة تلقي الخاتم والخرص والشيء
