Hadith 60:2
Ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Badr ibn Wasil ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Sa‘d ibn al-Atwal narrated to us, he said: My father, ‘Abd Allah ibn Badr ibn Wasil ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Sa‘d ibn al-Atwal, narrated to me, he said: ‘Abd Allah ibn Sa‘d ibn al-Atwal narrated to me, he said: ‘Abd Allah ibn Sa‘d used to go out to his companions in Tustar to visit them. He would say, "I heard my father say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade me—or I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbidding—*al-tana’ah* (prolonged stay). Whoever stays in a land of *kharaj* (taxed land) has committed *tana’ah*, and I dislike to stay."
