The Complete Hadith of 'Amr ibn Kharijah (RA)
Hadith 623:3
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ghanam, from 'Amr ibn Kharijah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) delivered a sermon while he was upon his she-camel, and I was beneath its neck, and it was chewing its cud, and its saliva was flowing between my shoulders. He said: "Indeed, Allah has given every person who has a right his right. There is no bequest for an heir. The child belongs to the bed, and for the adulterer is the stone. Whoever claims to be the son of someone other than his father, or claims to belong to someone other than his masters, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all of mankind. Neither a mandatory nor a supererogatory deed will be accepted from him."
