Remainder of the Hadith of Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
بقية (1) حديث عبد الله بن أبي أوفى (2) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 769:2
Yahya narrated to us, from Shu'bah, [who said]: Al-Shaybani narrated to me, from Ibn Abi Awfa; and Abd al-Rahman [narrated] from Sufyan, from Al-Shaybani, who said: I heard Ibn Abi Awfa say: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade the nabidh (fermented drink) of the green jar." He said: I said: "Then the white one?" He said: "I do not know."
حدثنا يحيى، عن شعبة، حدثني الشيباني، عن ابن أبي أوفى، وعبد الرحمن، عن سفيان، عن الشيباني قال: سمعت ابن أبي أوفى قال: " نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن نبيذ الجر الأخضر "، قال: قلت: فالأبيض؟ قال: " لا أدري "
