Hadith 699:0
Narrated Abu Musa al-Ghafiqi: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Whoever is appointed by us to a position of authority and he conceals from us even a needle or something smaller than that, it is a misappropriation (ghulul) that he will bring forth on the Day of Resurrection." A black man from the Ansar stood up—as if I am looking at him now—and said: "O Messenger of Allah, accept from me your resignation from this position." He (the Prophet) said: "Why is that?" He replied: "I heard you say such and such." He (the Prophet) said: "I say it now: Whoever we appoint to a position of authority, let him bring forth its small amount and its large amount. Whatever he is given from it, let him take it, and whatever he is forbidden from it, let him refrain."
