Hadith 598:0
It was narrated to us by Yahya ibn Sa’id, from Sufyan, who said: It was narrated to me by Mansur, from Abu Wa’il, from al-Daylami al-Himyari, who said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, we are a people who live in a cold land, and we manufacture a beverage from wheat, which we drink. So, is it forbidden?" He (ﷺ) said: "Does it cause intoxication?" I said: "Yes." He said: "Then avoid it." I said: "But the people will not abandon it." He said: "If they do not abandon it, then fight them."
