Hadith 598:1
Ad-Dahhak ibn Makhlad narrated to us, Abd al-Hamid—meaning Ibn Ja'far—narrated to us, he said: Yazid ibn Abi Habib narrated to us, Marthad ibn Abdullah al-Yazani narrated to us, he said: Ad-Daylami narrated to us that he asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "We are in a cold land, and we seek help with a drink made for us from wheat." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Does it intoxicate?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Then do not drink it." He repeated it to him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to him: "Does it intoxicate?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Then do not drink it." He repeated it to him a third time. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to him: "Does it intoxicate?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Then do not drink it." He said: "But they will not be patient without it." He said: "If they will not be patient without it, then kill them."
حدثنا الضحاك بن مخلد، حدثنا عبد الحميد يعني ابن جعفر، قال: حدثنا يزيد بن أبي حبيب، حدثنا مرثد بن عبد الله اليزني، قال: حدثنا الديلم أنه سأل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: إنا بأرض باردة، وإنا لنستعين بشراب يصنع لنا من القمح، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " أيسكر؟ " قال: نعم، قال: " فلا تشربوه " فأعاد عليه ، فقال له رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " أيسكر؟ " قال: نعم، قال: " فلا تشربوه " فأعاد عليه الثالثة، فقال له رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " أيسكر؟ " قال: نعم قال: " فلا تشربوه " قال: " فإنهم لا يصبرون عنه " قال: " فإن لم يصبروا عنه فاقتلهم "
