Musnad Ahmad 722:1

Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Humayd ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf narrated to me, from al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid, from al-'Ala' ibn al-Hadrami—if Allah wills—that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Muhajir (emigrant) shall stay in Makkah for three days after completing his rites."
