Musnad Ahmad 722:2

Hashim narrated to us, Mansur narrated to us, from Ibn Sirin, from Ibn al-Ala’ ibn al-Hadrami, who said: My father said: "Hashim narrated it to us twice: once from Ibn al-Ala’, and once he did not connect it [the chain]." "That his father wrote to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he began with himself."
