Hadith 302:2
Hassan ibn Musa narrated to us, Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakrah, from al-Aswad ibn Sari’, who said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have composed a praise for Allah, and I have composed another for you." The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Bring them forth, and begin with the praise of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic."
حدثنا حسن بن موسى، حدثنا حماد بن زيد، عن علي بن زيد، عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي بكرة، عن الأسود بن سريع قال: قلت: يا رسول الله، إني قد مدحت الله بمدحة، ومدحتك بأخرى، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " هات، وابدأ بمدحة الله عز وجل "
