حديث المسور بن مخرمة الزهري، ومروان بن الحكم
Hadith 695:0
Narrated to us by Ya'qub, who said: Narrated to us my father, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: Narrated to me Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Harith al-Taymi, from Abu Muhammad, the freed slave of Abu Qatadah al-Ansari, from Abu Qatadah al-Ansari, that he said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in the year of Hudaybiyyah. My companions entered into the state of Ihram, but I did not enter into the state of Ihram. We were traveling, and I was ahead of my companions, riding my horse. I saw a wild donkey. I spurred my horse and asked my companions to hand me my whip, but they refused. I asked them to hand me my spear, but they refused. So I dismounted, took my spear, and mounted my horse again. I attacked the donkey and slaughtered it. I ate from it, and my companions ate from it. Then we felt regret, fearing that we might have done something wrong while in the state of Ihram. We covered the remainder of the meat. When we met the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), we asked him about that. He said: "Did any of you command him to attack it, or point it out to him?" They said: "No." He said: "Then eat what is left of its meat."
