Musnad Ahmad 1239:1

Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, he said: Kathir ibn Kathir ibn al-Muttalib ibn Abi Wada'ah narrated to me, having heard some of his family narrating from his grandfather, that he saw the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, praying near the gate of Banu Sahm, while the people were passing in front of him, and there was no sutrah (barrier) between him and the Ka'bah.
