Hadith 475:0
Narrated to us by Muhammad ibn Ja'far, who said: Narrated to us Shu'bah, from Abu Ishaq, who said: I heard al-Bara' ibn 'Azib say: The first of those who came to us from the companions of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) were Mus'ab ibn 'Umayr and Ibn Umm Maktum. They began teaching us the Qur'an. Then came 'Ammar, Bilal, and Sa'd. Then came 'Umar ibn al-Khattab with twenty of the companions of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). Then came the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and I have never seen the people of Medina rejoice for anything as they rejoiced for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). Even the slave girls were saying: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has arrived." And I did not see him arrive until I had recited: "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High" (Surah Al-A'la) along with other surahs of the Mufassal in the chapters of the Qur'an.
