Hadith of ‘Awf bin Malik al-Ashja‘i al-Ansari (RA)
حديث عوف بن مالك الأشجعي الأنصاري
Hadith 1119:0
Narrated to us by Hisham ibn ‘Ammar, who said: Narrated to us by Baqiyyah, who said: Narrated to us by Bahir ibn Sa‘d, from Khalid ibn Ma‘dan, from Jubayr ibn Nufayr, from ‘Awf ibn Malik al-Ashja‘i, who said: I entered upon the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while he was in a tent made of leather. He said: "Count six [signs] before the Hour: my death, then the conquest of Jerusalem, then a plague that will afflict you like the pestilence of sheep, then the abundance of wealth until a man is given a hundred dinars and he remains dissatisfied, then a tribulation that will enter every house of the Arabs, then a truce between you and the Children of Yellow (the Byzantines), so they will betray you and come to you under eighty banners, under each banner there will be twelve thousand."
