Musnad Ahmad 841:1

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from 'Asim, from Abu Tamimah al-Hujaymi, from the one who was the rider behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: I was riding behind him on a donkey, and the donkey stumbled. I said, "May the devil perish!" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me, "Do not say, 'May the devil perish,' for if you say, 'May the devil perish,' the devil grows in his own estimation and says, 'I threw him down by my strength.' But if you say, 'In the name of Allah (Bismillah),' his soul shrinks until he becomes smaller than a fly."
