Hadith 164:1
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, he said: Ma'mar informed us, from Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Buhayr, he said: Someone who heard Farwah ibn Musayk al-Muradi informed me, he said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, there is a land we have called the land of Abyan; it is the land of our countryside and our provisions, but it is pestilential"—or he said: "It has a severe epidemic." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Leave it alone, for the *qaraf* (approaching/lingering in a place of disease) is destruction."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق، قال: أخبرنا معمر، عن يحيى بن عبد الله بن بحير، قال: أخبرني من، سمع فروة بن مسيك المرادي، قال: قلت: يا رسول الله، إن أرضا عندنا يقال لها: أرض أبين هي أرض ريفنا ، وميرتنا، وإنها وبئة - أو قال: إن بها وباء شديدا - فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " دعها عنك، فإن القرف التلف "
